WITH A TROWEL AND A GUITAR

WORKING THROUGH THE SUMMER IN THE ESTONIAN STUDENTS' CONSTRUCTION BRIGADE

Exhibition in Pärnu Museum
July 13th - September 15th, 2013

The Estonian Students’ Construction Brigade, or as the insiders gently call it: EÜE (ESCB) was an organization active from July to August where almost every fourth student of the Soviet Estonia was involved. The summer of 2013 is ESCB’s 50th work summer and a concrete mixer is turned on in the Pärnu Museum at the exhibition “With a trowel and a guitar”.

In place of mortar is the story of the ESCB: the machine concocts a tale out of Brigade’s activities, everyday life, organizational features, reunions and people.

Come and find out, or reminisce and recall, or as the old Brigade song puts it:
“Oh, stand up and see, if look you dare,
for meant for the bold is this trifling world!”
